The combination of an 8" low
frequency loudspeaker with a pedestal mounted 3" high frequency loudspeaker
gives a clean, widely dispersed, full range response. The pedestal mounting
design is simply acoustically cleaner with less reverberation than units
featuring flat bracket mountings. The use of high temperature, aluminum voice
coil forms provides good power handling capability and withstands adverse
environmental conditions. The LA-200 Series utilizes a one-piece back plate
construction which enhances the magnetic efficiency of the speaker motor
structure.
